This unique project required the utmost care in design and construction. The existing Stave Church was constructed in the 1930’s and was un-insulated and non-accessible. Our challenge was to make the chapel accessible to the handicapped and functional year round without destroying the character of the building. In order to accomplish this goal, it was necessary to construct a new foundation, move the building on to it, and reconstruct the entire site for accessibility.
